Stop Paying for API Keys Before You've Even Shipped
Inference costs money, and paying for it while you're still experimenting is a good way to stop experimenting. QwenCloud's pitch is a large free token grant for new accounts — the guide cites 70M+ — spendable across chat, image, video and audio generation, through one OpenAI-compatible API with no card required to start.
The Part Worth Knowing About
Beyond the token grant, the guide's more interesting claim is protocol compatibility: one of the models speaks the Anthropic API protocol, so you can point Claude Code at QwenCloud by setting the base URL and auth token, then run it on free tokens instead of a paid key. Same for Codex. The exact endpoint and setup live in QwenCloud's own docs.
What's in the Guide
The signup path, the models and modalities the grant covers, the environment variables for pointing Claude Code at the endpoint, and where to find the current setup steps.
One caveat the guide states plainly and worth repeating: free-token grants and promotions change over time. The figures and model line-up here are QwenCloud's own claims as of writing — check qwencloud.com for what's actually on offer before you build anything around it.
