The best supplier portal software is the one that keeps supplier data correct without your team chasing it: SAP Ariba Supplier Management, Coupa and Ivalua for enterprises on those suites, HICX and Kodiak Hub for dedicated supplier management programs, Gatekeeper for mid-market vendor and contract lifecycles, Graphite Connect for validated supplier-maintained data, and Precoro for a supplier portal inside a mid-market procure-to-pay tool. Precoro is the only one of the eight with a published buyer price. Before you sign, check two things that are easy to miss: who pays on the supplier side, and which plan actually includes scorecards.
A supplier portal is where suppliers register, upload tax and compliance documents, keep their bank and contact details current, and receive purchase orders. Supplier management software (often sold as SRM) is the internal side: onboarding approvals, risk monitoring, performance scorecards and one clean supplier record. Most products below do both.
How we compared
We compared how each product handles four jobs: onboarding and registration, keeping supplier data current and validated, risk and compliance documents, and performance (scorecards and KPIs). We also checked who pays to use the portal, since some networks charge suppliers. All facts come from each vendor's own product, pricing and documentation pages; we didn't run trials. Prices were checked on each vendor's own pricing page on October 4, 2026, and are stated as of October 2026. Most vendors here are quote-only, and we say so.

The 8 best supplier portal and supplier management tools
1. SAP Ariba Supplier Management β for companies on SAP ERP
SAP Ariba Supplier Management includes two solutions, according to SAP's supplier management page: Supplier Lifecycle and Performance (onboarding, qualification, monitoring and assessment) and Supplier Risk (risk due diligence across source-to-pay). Suppliers update their own information through SAP Business Network, supplier data stays in two-way sync with SAP ERP, performance evaluations use granular KPIs and scoring, and risk alerts cover regulatory, legal, financial, environmental, social and operational risk.
Pricing: buyer pricing isn't on SAP's pages. On the supplier side, SAP's supplier account pricing page lists a free Standard account (unlimited documents) and an Enterprise account priced on "fixed subscription level fee plus transacted volume."
Limits: that supplier fee structure is a real adoption question for high-volume suppliers. Raise it before rollout.
2. Coupa Supplier Information & Risk Management β for Coupa customers
Coupa's supplier risk and performance page centers on the Coupa Supplier Portal: suppliers update details when they receive a PO or send an invoice, and invoice submissions with missing information are warned or blocked until fixed. Coupa monitors external data and user feedback for risk, automates third-party risk assessments across domains such as InfoSec, anti-bribery and anti-corruption, and GDPR, and lists a database of over 2 million certified diverse suppliers.
Pricing: buyer pricing isn't published. Coupa's supplier documentation says the portal "remains a free tool" for suppliers, with optional paid extras sold to suppliers: Coupa Verified at $549 a year and Coupa Advanced at $4,800 a year.
Limits: it's a module of the wider Coupa platform, so it makes most sense if you buy through Coupa.
3. Ivalua Supplier Management β one record across many ERPs
Ivalua's supplier management page consolidates onboarding, risk, performance, collaboration and master data, with a branded supplier portal, bulk updates of ERP supplier records, approval workflows for supplier records, and risk monitoring at supplier, sub-tier and contract level. Ivalua's page for suppliers says suppliers can work through the portal or connect by EDI or XML, email, fax or Excel upload, then acknowledge POs, handle ship notices and goods receipts, and submit invoices.
Pricing: not published; the site offers demos.
Limits: it's part of an enterprise source-to-pay platform, with matching scope and rollout effort.
4. HICX β a supplier data front door
HICX is a supplier management platform built around a single authoritative supplier record across all ERPs, with validation and enrichment services. Its modules cover supplier registration, information management, risk, SRM, performance scorecards and KPIs, query management, and real-time PO and invoice visibility, plus a no-code tool for orchestrating supplier workflows. HICX pitches "one front door for all suppliers" and says most deployments start with supplier onboarding.
Pricing: not published (hicx.com/pricing returns a "not found" page).
Limits: HICX manages suppliers, not purchasing. You still need procure-to-pay software for requisitions and POs.
5. Gatekeeper β vendor and contract lifecycle for mid-market teams
Gatekeeper combines vendor management and contract lifecycle management. Its pricing page includes a branded third-party/vendor portal for onboarding and self-serve data management, an employee intake portal, a risk register, a spend module and unlimited users and eSign licences on every plan. It also lists native two-way NetSuite sync.
Pricing: quote-based, with plans sized by third-party volume: Pro (up to 250 third parties), Enterprise (up to 750) and Enterprise Plus (750+), all via demo. Nonprofit discounts are offered.
Limits: balanced scorecards (vendor performance surveys), RBAC and SCIM aren't included on Pro; they start on Enterprise. If performance tracking is your main goal, price the Enterprise tier.
6. Kodiak Hub β SRM for direct materials and ESG
Kodiak Hub is an AI-powered SRM suite covering supplier onboarding and assessment, risk and resilience monitoring, performance evaluations and scorecards, audit management, supplier and product information, quality, and ESG. It emphasizes direct materials, and lists support for compliance reporting under regulations such as CSDDD, CSRD, LkSG, EUDR and the Modern Slavery Act. Which of those apply to you depends on where you operate and your company's size, so confirm scope with your compliance team.
Pricing: not published; Kodiak Hub offers an interactive demo.
Limits: it's built for strategic sourcing teams. If all you need is a registration form and document collection, it's more than that.
7. Graphite Connect β supplier-maintained, validated data
Graphite's model is that suppliers manage their own data and Graphite validates it, per its homepage. It offers onboarding, supplier information management, SRM, third-party risk monitoring, supplier scores, and vendor banking and identity verification aimed at payment fraud. Its page for suppliers says joining is "completely FREE for suppliers," and one profile can be shared with every connected buyer instead of re-answering onboarding surveys.
Pricing: not published for buyers.
Limits: the same supplier page explains that Graphite may share supplier profile data with network partners through its Ecosystem Partner Program. Read those terms, and expect your suppliers to ask.
8. Precoro β a supplier portal inside mid-market procure-to-pay
Precoro is procure-to-pay software for mid-sized teams, and its supplier management page describes a Supplier Portal where vendors upload documents, update catalogs, receive RFPs and purchase orders, and submit invoices, with approval workflows for new suppliers and notifications before contracts expire.
Pricing: the Precoro pricing page puts Supplier Portal and vendor onboarding on the Automation plan, which starts at $999 a month billed annually. Core starts at $499 a month billed annually; Enterprise is custom.
Limits: Precoro is a purchasing tool with supplier features, not a dedicated risk or ESG platform. For PO-focused comparisons, see our purchase order software roundup.

Supplier portal, supplier management, vendor portal: which one you need
These terms overlap, so be precise about the job. If the pain is invoices and payment status ("where's my payment?"), you want a vendor portal tied to AP; our vendor portal software guide covers that. If the pain is who your suppliers are (duplicate records, expired insurance certificates, unverified bank details), you want supplier management with a supplier-facing portal: this page. If the pain is how purchases get requested and approved, start with procurement software.
What to check before you buy
- Who keeps data current. SAP, Coupa and Graphite all lean on suppliers updating their own records. Ask what forces an update (an expiring document, a new PO, an invoice).
- What gets validated. Graphite lists banking and identity verification; HICX lists validation and enrichment. A self-service form without validation just moves typos upstream.
- Which plan includes performance. Gatekeeper's scorecards start on Enterprise, and Precoro's portal starts on Automation.
- Who pays on the supplier side. SAP's Enterprise supplier account carries fees, Coupa sells optional supplier subscriptions, and Graphite is free for suppliers.
- Where the data lands. SAP syncs with SAP ERP, Ivalua updates ERP supplier records in bulk, Gatekeeper syncs with NetSuite.
One more change: TealBook, a supplier data vendor often listed in these roundups, was acquired by Supplier.io, announced on April 2, 2026 in Supplier.io's press release; tealbook.com now redirects to supplier.io.
Building a supplier onboarding portal yourself
If you onboard a few dozen suppliers a year, the job may be a registration form, document uploads with expiry dates, an internal approval step and a simple scorecard table. That's an app you can describe to Greta.sh in plain English: it generates the frontend, backend, database, authentication and deployment, and exports clean Next.js code. Build the first version on the free plan (5 credits a day); deployment starts on Starter ($5/month welcome offer, normally $20/month), and Database and team management are listed on Pro ($20/month welcome offer, normally $50/month), per Greta.sh pricing.
Know what you're not getting: no bank or identity verification service, no risk data feeds, no supplier network and no ERP sync unless you build them, and you own maintenance and any compliance obligations. For a small, stable supplier base that's often enough; for regulated supply chains, buy. The approach is the same one in building custom workflow tools without a developer.

Frequently asked questions
What is supplier portal software?
A secure site where suppliers register, upload tax and compliance documents, keep their details current, and receive POs, usually connected to internal supplier management for approvals, risk and scorecards. Examples here include the Coupa Supplier Portal, SAP Business Network with SAP Ariba Supplier Management, and Precoro's Supplier Portal.
What is the difference between supplier management software and a vendor portal?
Supplier management software keeps a clean, validated supplier record and tracks onboarding, risk and performance. A vendor portal, as we use the term, is mainly for invoice submission and payment status. Many products, like Ivalua and Precoro, cover both.
Do suppliers pay to use supplier portals?
Sometimes. SAP Business Network's Standard supplier account is free, but its Enterprise account charges a subscription plus transaction fees. The Coupa Supplier Portal is free, with optional paid add-ons ($549 and $4,800 a year as of October 2026). Graphite says it's free for suppliers.
How much does supplier management software cost?
Mostly quote-based. Gatekeeper sizes plans by the number of third parties, and SAP, Coupa, Ivalua, HICX, Kodiak Hub and Graphite don't publish buyer prices. Precoro's Automation plan, which includes its Supplier Portal, starts at $999 a month billed annually (as of October 2026).
Can I build my own supplier portal?
Yes, for simple onboarding and document collection. An AI app builder like Greta.sh can generate one from a description, but verification, risk data and ERP sync are yours to build or skip.
